| Course Details: Visitors to The Pines often describe it as a picturesque course with stunning views of the harbour and of Whangarei Heads from many tee, fairway and hole locations as well as from the Clubhouse. It is an eighteen hole course with a par of 71 and a 'slope rating' of 116 (medium degree of difficulty). It is not a long course, measuring 5368 metres off the men's blue tees. It does however present players of all abilities with many interesting hole locations and challenges with its meandering stream, tidal ponds, seaside mangroves and tree-studded fairways.
